In 1999, the National Education Association
published a list of
Teachers'
Favorite 100 Children's Books
as part of its Read Across America celebration.
In 2000, the organization
asked children to name their favorite books.
Three of the teachers' top 10
were also chosen by children -- the two Seuss
books and "Charlotte's Web."
