National Book Critics Circle Awards
The annual National Book Critics Circle Awards honor a variety of books. The general non-fiction award went to Svetlana Alexievich's "Voices from Chernobyl: The Oral History of a Nuclear Disaster."
The fiction award went to E.L. Doctorow's "The March." Other categories were biography, autobiography, criticism and poetry.
