Oprah's Selections
Oprah's Book Club is a phenomenon that has revitalized thousands of adults' interest in reading and propelled dozens of books to the bestseller list. The first selection in 1996 was Jacquelyn Mitchard's "The Deep End of the Ocean." All of the selected books have been fiction except one, "Heart of a Woman" by Maya Angelou.
