Michael L. Printz Awards
The Michael L. Printz Award for Excellence in Young Adult Literature is named for a Topeka, Kan., school librarian. He was actively involved in promoting literature for young adults for many years.
The 2008 winner was The White Darkness by Geraldine McCaughrean and published by HarperTeen.
