Scott O'Dell Historical Fiction Award
The Scott O'Dell Historical Fiction Award is named for the children's writer who won both the Newbery Award and the Hans Christian Andersen Award for lifetime achievement. He established the award in 1981, and it recognizes a work for young people set in the New World (North, Central or South America.)
