Hemingway Foundation/PEN Award
The HemingwayFoundation/PEN Award is administered by the New England division of PEN (Poets, Playwrights, Editors, Essayists and Novelists) and is named for Ernest Hemingway, the author of such novels as "For Whom the Bell Tolls" and "The Old Man and the Sea." The award of $7,500 is presented for a novel or book of short stories by an American author who has not previously published a book of fiction.
