The EMMA (Ethnic Multicultural Media Academy) Awards have gone out every year since 1997, when the academy was founded by Bobby Syed. Syed wanted to reflect Britain's diversity in the media, and the awards are intended to honor humanitarian media excellence. Awards are given in several categories: music, film, television, art and entertainment, journalism, public figures, lifetime achievement, the Legend Award and the Special Award. Click on the categories or the yearly awards archieves tab for a list of past winners.
