Cargenie and Kate Greenaway Awards

The British Library Association's Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals awards the Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Medals annually as the UK’s oldest and most prestigious children’s book awards. Books are judged by a panel of experts on children’s and young people’s literature. The Carnegie Medal honors an outstanding book for children and young people, while the Kate Greenaway Medal honors an outstanding book in terms of illustration for the same audience.
