Booker Prize for Fiction
The Booker Prize, which aims to reward the best novel of the year, is awarded by Booker plc, which in May 2000 merged with Iceland plc. You can read an excerpt and reviews of last year's winner and peruse the shortlist and longlist from which the final winner was chosen.
Past winners include "The English Patient" by Michael Ondaatje and "Disgrace" by J.M. Coetzee.
